Ruby x Jaks' Puppies are Here!
Ruby delivered her puppies via emergency c-section. Five puppies survived; three females and two males. They are so beautiful! We are looking forward to raising these pups the first 8 weeks of their lives.

Ruby is Here!
Lynn dropped off one very pregnant Ruby today! We will be whelping and raising this litter for the owners, Lynn Worth Smith and Chauncey Smith ("Smitty"). It is an honor to have been asked to be a part of this special and long-awaited litter. Ruby is DC Melto-N-Barktalk's Ruby Rose SH. She was bred to Jaks (BISS DC AFC Remek's Red Storm Rising). Puppies are due within the week!!

Greta Takes Fourth in Open Limited Gun Dog at DSGSPA
Greta places fourth in the Open Limited Gun Dog stake at the Diamond State GSP Association's fall field trial, held in Petersburg DE on the Ralph Kellam Field Trial Grounds.

Blaze x Celtic Puppies Go To New Homes
Today the Blaze x Celtic puppies have gone to their new homes. We have had a lot of fun with this litter, and the baby blue collar puppy (previously known as "Hazel") will stay home with us! Introducing our newest addition; Broad Run's Blue Moon, call name "Luna"! We are looking forward to many fun adventures with her!

Boone Returns to Field Trial Camp
Boone has taken almost a years hiatus from field trials, except for three trials in the Spring. Today he has returned to full time Field Trial camp with his trainer/handler Bob Seelye. His first field trial is in early September. We miss him, but plan to attend most of his trials this season. Go Boone Go!

Saying Goodbye to Cannon
Cannon, owned and loved by Tracy and Joe Faber, bred and loved by us, and handled in the field by Bob Seelye to the #1 Puppy/Derby Vizsla in the country in May of this year; has left us this day. We miss him terribly. It's hard to comprehend the loss of such a beautiful, sweet and talented young boy. He has left a lasting memory for all that loved him. We have dedicated a video in his memory here.

Cannon is #1 Puppy/Derby Vizsla and Tori is #7!
Cannon completes his puppy/derby career at the top of the Puppy/Derby list! He is Blaze's second get to achieve #1 puppy/derby. Sister Tori completed her puppy/derby career as #7 on the list. Blaze now has a total of five offspring from two litters that have achieved Top Ten Puppy/Derby status!

Cannon Wins the Open Derby Stake at HVBC
Cannon wins Open Derby at the Hudson Valley Brittany Club's spring field trial, held in Oxford NY. This was Cannon's final Derby run, as he ages out on May 22nd. Congrats to Joe and Tracy on their fantastic boy!

Boone Completes JH
Boone has had three legs of JH since he was a puppy, and this weekend we decided to enter him in our CVC hunt test to finish it up. On Saturday he completed his requirements with the fourth JH leg, making him a new Junior Hunter - and Blaze's sixth JH offspring.

Tess is Expecting Puppies
Tess, from our first litter (Blaze x Bunker), was bred to Marcia Schlesinger's Topper (FC AFC Da Capo by Barktalk). Tess is expecting puppies around mid-May. We are looking forward to this litter, and we are so excited for the breeder, Stephanie Estes. Although she has been involved with the breed for many years, this is her first litter. Katy Takes Second in Amateur Walking Derby at TBVC
Katy takes second place in the AWD stake at the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club's spring field trial, held in Lake Wales, FL. She was handled by her owner Will Garrett. This was Katy's last run in derby. We are looking forward to her gun dog career.

Boone and Greta Compete at the AKC Pointing Breed Gun Dog Championships
Boone and Greta ran today at the beautiful Leggett farm grounds in Danville Virginia for the AKC Pointing Breed Gun Dog Championships. There were so many dogs entered - this event went on for nearly two weeks! We ran the very last day, in the deep mud and cold rain. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and we are really looking forward to the Vizsla Club of America's 2009 National Field Trial to be held there. The club house is perfect for hosting large parties, and the amenities are awesome. Boone and Greta are just coming off the couch. So while it wasn't their day, they did get their pictures posted on the AKC website here.

Tori places 2nd in AWD at the Volunteer Brittany Club's spring field trial, held in Collierville, TN. Tori was handled by her owner Phil Stout. This is Tori's last run in derby. She'll be taking some time in the show ring, and then off later this summer for gun dog training!

Cannon takes a 3rd place in the Open Derby at CVC's spring field trial, held in Sumerduck, VA. Cannon was handled by his trainer Bob Seelye. This is Cannon's first time down this season, and will be entered on a limited basis between now and when he ages out in May.

Blaze Wins the Hunting Dog Stake at CVC
Blaze and Michelle had a blast on Saturday running in the non-regular Hunting Dog Stake at the Conestoga Vizsla Club's spring field trial. Blaze had not been out on birds since October of last year. She surprised us at how well she handled, with a lot of finds, one covey find, and very stylish points. Blaze won the stake, earning her the beautiful Bob Estes Memorial Traveling Trophy! Michelle also ran Zoe in the stake, since her owner Stephanie Estes couldn't be there. Zoe hunted beautifully and put down an excellent hunting dog run! She took 2nd place in the stake. The experience was very special. The late Bob Estes, Stephanie's husband, was a great friend of ours and Zoe's huntin' buddy. Our first Vizsla Zeke and Zoe are full siblings.

Katy takes second place in the OD stake at the Greater Atlanta Gordon Setter Club's field trial in Cedartown, GA. She was handled by her owner, Will Garrett. Will's other dog, Jack (a green broke gun dog), got around the course clean with three nice finds! Congrats Will!

Katy won the AWD at the Tennessee Valley Weimaraner Club field trial, handled by her owner Will Garrett. Will reports that Katy had six nice finds, and displayed her typical 200 yard casts! Will loves his girl! :)

Tori gets her first BOB today at the South Arkansas Kennel Club show! So far Toto is having a great 2009!

Tori and Cannon are Top Ten Puppy/Derby Littermates
Tori is now ranked #10, and Cannon is ranked #6 for Top Puppy/Derby Vizslas in the US! These two littermates will see limited to no trialing this season, before "aging out" at two years of age on May 22nd. We are proud that they've both made the Top Ten! Big congrats to their owners, the Stouts and the Fabers!
