Boone is named in honor of Michelle's ancestor, the legendary American pioneer and trailblazer Daniel Boone. Like his dam and sire, he is an extremely sweet and driven Vizsla. He enjoys spending time with his mom Blaze, his sisters, and our young daughter Shelby. Boone is field trained and handled professionally by Bob Seelye of Cliffside Birddogs. We were very pleased with Boone's Puppy/Derby career, completed in October 2007. He was runner-up in the VCA 2006 National Open Puppy, and was ranked #3 on VCA Top Ten Puppy/Derby (8/07), third only to his two sister littermates who were ranked #1 and #2:
Boone began his first season of Gun Dog stakes at the age of two, in the Fall of 2008. He took some time off during the Spring of 2009, and now has returned to trialing for the Fall of 2009 season.
